About Us

Merrillville Farms, in Hobart, IN, is the premier farmer's market serving Lake and Porter counties since 1999. All Welcome to Visit the Farm! open during construction-must enter from 61st Ave. Blueberry Season is starting very SOON!!! No admission costs! Starting July 1st open Monday-Saturday 10-7 and Sunday 10-5. Organic pick your own or pre-picked! Bring the family for a fun farm visit! We have both chicken and duck eggs (when available), honey, straw, and perennial plants right now. Keep your eyes on us and we will update on upcoming vegetables.

Loved my visit to merrillville farms. I came right when they opened on a weekday and was the only one picking blueberries that morning. Was super relaxing and no one bothered me. I picked for an hour or so and then a few more customers showed. Very well priced. I brought home a huge bag of blueberries and some other vegetables for around $20. Would be great to bring kids or a date day outing. I'm definitely coming back next year.

I got up early in the morning looking for a farmers market and boy did I find one that stayed open till 5:00 I was very pleased with the produce and I also bought some organic honey after the lady Ginger show me the bees so I got some organic honey. I also both vegetables and fruits and tomatoes you know everything like you supposed to buy at the Farmers market I was very pleased I will be back and I will tell people about it. I was informed to call her if I have any problems with the produce. Very nice lady very funny I even said around talking to her for her about 2 hours I got real comfortable.

On Feb 26, 2024, they are beginning road construction in front of us. They say it will last until September. We are still OPEN! Call for eggs and honey until produce is available. Call to let us know before you come!
